About

I decided to begin this blog for 2 main reasons. First, I want to offer this to my friends and current church members (and anybody else who is interested in this) to share about my sense of God in my life- especially as I begin this newest adventure and response to my sense of God leading me to ministry in the Alaska Missionary Conference. Second, I want to have something set up for myself so that I can write things down as they happen. I want to let myself continue to remember the kinds of experiences I’ve had over these past 28 years since beginning my life as a pastor in various churches. I’ve met so many amazing people. I wish I would have been writing these kinds of things down a long time ago. Comments are welcome (agreeable and disagreeable alike). I’ll only edit or delete things if they are worse than PG rated… or if I think they will be unnecessarily hurtful.

  1. Charles and Karen,
Your blogs are great! I hope everything is going well. We think of you often. I really appreciate your beautiful pictures. I placed the glacier picture as background on my computer. I’ll think of you both everytime I see it. God bless you both!! Teresa

  2. Hi Charles and Karen, I love reading about your life in Alaska! I have visited there two summers and I think it is the most beautiful place on Earth! They told us that you would either love it or hate it and I was fascinated by the land and the people. Have you seen the “male” catalog? Dan and I are doing well. I am still teaching school and Dan is still trying to keep everything under control in the building (janitor). Our love to you and your family! Kathy

Did you get to see any of the Iditarod?

  3. Charles and Karen,

I think of you often and hope you are safe. I love your pictures and your thoughts that you are sharing with us. I can hear you both talking as if you were right here. Betsy

Have your say
